My wife and I purchased a home in Woodbine in 1984 and we subsequently found a ceiling to floor crack in our foundation about two years after when a wet spring brought it to our attention, we decided we could live with the crack and water seepage. In the mid 90's we decided to complete the basement and the crack had to go. I called a firm listed in the phone book and they came out and effected a repair. It was quite a procedure requiring a crew of three. The guarantee was for 1 year.

The next couple of years were dry, the warranty expired and then 10 years ago it rained (a lot) and "the fix" leaked. The company I contracted was now suggesting that the crack had to be exposed on the exterior side of the wall and waterproof barriers installed. Their estimate was in the thousands of dollars. Not a happy prospect.

Then someone suggested I call basement Systems and see what possible solution they might propose to my wet basement problem. The representative called and looked at the crack and without a big fuss stated it wasn't that big a problem and it could be fixed quite inexpensively. Well I wasn't 100% convinced, but decided to take a chance. A crew of one showed up to do the work and in a couple of hours it was completed and the one man crew was gone and I had a lifetime warranty in my hands. Almost too good to be true.

I had been concerned that the crack in my basement would leak again and be faced with another contractors approach to repair the crack. 3 days of steady down pour had me worried that maybe the repair had finally failed and my basement would be wet. So with a flashlight in hand I went to see and there it was; nothing, not a drop of water or even a hint of moisture anywhere near the crack.

It took 7 years to test your work under the worst possible conditions and the job you did for me is 100% satisfactory. What can I say except Thank You.

Our basement used to be cold and damp and was good for nothing more than a laundry room and a place to store junk. I saw your display of the ThermalDry flooring system at the Calgary Home expo and decided to try it. It was very easy to install and the results have been wonderful. We put carpet over the flooring system and now have a very comfortable room to be in. Our two pre-school children play in this room all the time and we never have to worry about them getting cold sitting on the floor because it is now warm and dry.

I was very impressed with the manner in which the crews protected the furniture, carpets, walls and hardwood stair railings by covering them all. They were punctual, courteous, considerate and worked very diligently. I am very satisfied with their work and the systems installed.
