Leaky Basement Repair in Lethbridge, AB

A homeowner in Lethbridge, AB had been dealing with seepage along part of the east wall in the basement and front wall for years and is finally ready to fix it. Wanting to upgrade their sump pump and basin so that the area is sealed off and working properly to prevent these water issues. Our System Design Specialist who attended the home gave the homeowner a FREE, no obligation quote to resolve these issues.

The homeowner was excited, so she went ahead with the proposal and our production crews were arranged to go out and get to work!

SuperSump® sump pump system and new basin were installed to replace the existing material that had been failing for many years. The system will discharge any water to the exterior of the home. A full-featured system, SuperSump® includes the best components available including a top-rated 1/3HP Zoeller® pump, which is designed for reliability & high-volume pumping. A side discharge was installed instead. A side discharge is a really great option when the sump pump is to be located in a finished space in the basement. Similar to a top discharge the hole for sump is jackhammered and the basin is installed flush with the floor.  The difference with a side discharge is the plumbing off the pump is directed out the side of the basin below the lid.  We then install a solid lid that sits flush with the concrete floor.  The discharge line can then be run to the exterior wall and up the wall before being cored through to the exterior of the home.

The home owner can then finish with stud framing and drywall and conceal the discharge line. Carpet or other flooring material can be laid over top of the solid sump lid so long as access remains for future maintenance on the sump system.

Lifting a Concrete Walkway in NW Calgary, AB

This homeowner in NW Calgary, Alberta contacted us with concern regarding their sinking front walkway. Both visually unappealing with several pieces of lumber under the step, and being a hazard, this was an issue that needed to be fixed with a efficient solution. A System Design Specialist was able to visit the homeowner and explain why utilizing our NEW PolyLEVEL® product was the perfect solution for this problem!

PolyLevel® injection equipment isn’t bulky, enabling applicators to access confined areas. When properly injected, PolyLevel® is not as messy or disruptive as other slab and foundation-lifting techniques and can bear the full structural weight within about 15 minutes after the material is injected which means little disruption to this homeowner’s day. Our expert PolyLevel® Team was able to lift this homeowner’s walkway nearly 6 inches back level with the homes existing front step!
