Going with the same questions, I started by asking:
What Department do you work in?
“Appointment center in the Service Department”
How many homes/customers do you interact with on average a day?
“20-30 customers a day that I speak with through phone call, text or email; I call 40-60 homes per day” Marcie calls everyone in our system that has reached out to us via phone, email, internet, social media, etc. To schedule them in for an appointment or answer any questions they may have.
What is your favorite product or service that we offer to help homeowners?
“I really like the Breathe EZ Filter and of course our sump pumps since in the service department that is the main thing we maintenance every day”
What is one of the weirdest homes you have had to help?
“I can’t pin point a weird home but I deal with a lot of interesting questions on the phone for example: Calgary customers asking if our company is in Canada. Haha! Do we service Alberta? I’ll speak with customers who have a sump pump in their home yet they have no idea what it is or does! I am glad I can help educate those customers.”
What home did you help that gave you the greatest joy or pride after?
“I helped a lady last week who was in state of hysteria as her basement had a lot of water coming in and a plumber could not help her. We were booked solid in the Sales Department so I was able to get a service technician out to help her. She was so very happy and thankful that I helped her. I felt really good going that extra mile!”
Marcie has been a part of the Doug Lacey’s Basement Systems team for over 2 years. Marcie is always willing to help other departments including mine, Marketing; by helping out at the Homeshows! She will always go the extra mile and volunteer to work whenever she is needed. She is a very valuable team player with a positive attitude and we appreciate everything she does every day!
