Photo Album: Production Crew Installs New Basement Floor Slab and Flexispan in Lethbridge, AB
This homeowner in Lethbridge, Alberta contacted us concerned with a crack located in their foundation wall. Cracks in foundation walls are common in homes throughout Alberta. Usually a side effect of the natural curing process of concrete, these cracks usually do not threaten the foundation but can often leak causing water to enter the basement. The basement floor also needed to be replaced. In search of the best solution to address their concerns, and protect their home investment, these homeowners contacted the experts at Doug Lacey's Basement Systems.
A System Design Specialist was able to assess the situation and provide the homeowners with a FREE, no obligation inspection and quote designed specific to address all of this homeowners concerns. The foundation crack was repaired utilizing our warrantied FlexiSpan® System which stays bonded with wall movement, and seals the crack permanently. Unlike hydraulic cements and some epoxies, the special polyurethane polymer sealant used for FlexiSpan® will never dry out or re-crack due to the natural movement of the foundation wall over long periods of time. The production team also jacked and hauled 95% of the floor and removed 2-3 inches of gravel! Now that is hard work! They installed CleanSpace® vapor barrier on the floor then they poured a new one. Although this is hard work our Production Crews always do a job well done and we are proud of them for that!
