Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Seepage Issues in De Winton, AB
This homeowner in De Winton, Alberta encountered issues with water seepage the basement. Wanting to eliminate any further water issues, they contacted the experts at Doug Lacey's Basement Systems. A System Design Specialist noted staining and effervescence around the perimeter of the basement indicating long term water issues and was able to provide the homeowners with a FREE, no obligation quote. Our Production Team was then able to then come to the home to install our patented WaterGuard® drainage system, designed to capture water seepage through walls and leaks along the wall/floor junction. Thanks to its unique profile, WaterGuard® effectively captures wall and floor seepage BEFORE it reaches your basement floor. The drainage system transports all ground water to a SuperSump® sump pump system which includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour to the exterior of the home through the IceGuard® system which allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked for any reason. Even if the pipe outlet is buried under a foot of ice and snow, the water can escape, allowing your sump pump to keep your basement dry. This homeowners system was then completed with a LawnScape™ outlet pipe which directs discharged water away from the foundation. Buried from the downspout the LawnScape™ outlet that lets the water out onto the surface, while camouflaging the end of the pipe. The lid comes off for easy cleaning, minimizing maintenance.
