The SuperSump was installed in the corner of the basement taking up hardly any room
The pump in the basin has 1/3 hp which is strong enough to push the water up through the discharge line
The white piping directs the water to the Iceguard/exterior discharge line
The Waterguard was installed after the foreman jack hammered the concrete out and then re-cemented the area to hide the interior drainage system so the homeowner can then finish the basement if they so choose
The Iceguard is attached to the outside of the home which will allow for easy discharging even if the piping becomes frozen or clogged
This homeowner in Calgary, Alberta contacted us concerned about water seepage in her furnace room. In search of a one time fix option, the homeowners contacted the experts at Doug Lacey's Basement Systems.
A System Design Specialist was able to assess the situation and provide the homeowners with a FREE, no obligation quote to address the homeowners concerns. Our Production Team then went to the home to install our patented WaterGuard® drainage system. The WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain System is designed with a built-in wall flange, which extends up your basement wall by 3/8", capturing any water leaking from the walls will move downward and behind this flange where it is then directed to the SuperSump® sump pump system. A full-featured system, SuperSump® includes the best components available including a top-rated 1/3HP Zoeller® pump is designed for reliability & high-volume pumping. From there the system will discharge any water entering the sump pump basin to the exterior of the home passing through our patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation in the event that the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. The homeowner has the option to have the discharge line buried in the spring if she wants to so that it is not a tripping hazard or in the way of any summer activities!
