Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Water Damage in SE Calgary, AB
This homeowner in Southeast Calgary, Alberta encountered issues with water damage in their basement and were in need of a sump pump. Wanting to eliminate these issues immediately and regain the usable space, they contacted the experts at Doug Lacey's Basement Systems.
A System Design Specialist was able to assess the situation and provide the homeowners with a FREE, no obligation quote designed specific to address all of the homeowners concerns. Our Production Team then went to the home to install CleanSpace® vapor barrier along the walls which is a 100% waterproof plastic that's perfect for unfinished basement walls. With a 25 year warranty for wear and tear, it's durable, washable, and has anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in! The wall vapor barrier ties into the patented WaterGuard® drainage system. The WaterGuard® Below-Floor Drain System is designed with a built-in wall flange, which extends up your basement wall by 3/8", capturing any water leaking from the walls will move downward and behind this flange where it is then directed to both of the SuperSump® sump pump systems. A full-featured system, SuperSump® includes the best components available including a top-rated 1/3HP Zoeller® pump is designed for reliability & high-volume pumping.
Now that the repairs are complete, once the cement dries this homeowner can get back to using the basement without the worry of future water damage.
Super Sump and Waterguard
Water will go down the walls captured by the Cleanspace, to the Waterguard then to the Super sump which will discharge water outside of the home, this Super Sump in particular has a side discharge which means that the discharge line will come out of the side of the sump basin so that this homeowner can put carpet down and finish the rest of the basement and not even know a sump pump is there!
Super Sump #2
This Super sump was installed in the storage area of the basement so a top discharge was okay for this one as the homeowner is not finishing this area
Any water in the Window Well outside of the home will drain into the well duct, then to the interior drainage system
