This customer has lived in their Dunmore home for 28 years, and dealt with water in their basement for 25 years. That's only 3 out of 28 years this customer has had peace of mind. They had been thinking about fixing this problem for the whole 25 years they have been dealing with this problem, but kept pushing it off due to many reasons including: money and time. After 25 years they decided to get something done in hopes of developing their basement without the concern of it all getting ruined if the basement were to flood. In previous times of flooding, the drywall and flooring was ruined, which forced them to rip it all out due to mold concerns.
Every time it rained, water would come in over the wall, and seep down to the floor. The most water that had ever been in their basement was 20L!
Since this family sees this home as their forever home, they decided it was time to get it fixed. Our system design specialist recommended patching the top of the wall with a polyurethane injection, and carbon armor because there was a crack which was the main area of concern. Once that was done, they suggested installing a waterguard below-floor drain which has the ability to collect water that runs down the wall, and a cleanspace vapor barrier to keep any potential moisture away from the drywall that will eventually be put in. Once that is all installed, and sump pump is a must-have waterproofing device. It will take the water out of the basement and put it somewhere safer.
