Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Sump Pump Discharge Line Buried in Red Deer, AB
We installed a waterproofing system in for this homeowner who lives in Red Deer. Due to the ground being frozen from the winter season and snow the crew was scheduled to go back to the home in the spring time to bury the discharge line.
The sump pump system that was installed inside the home will discharge water entering the sump pump to the exterior of the home passing through our IceGuard® system, which is an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation in the event that the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. The discharge line was then buried below-grade out of plain sight ending off with a Bubbler Pot that is installed flush with the grass allowing the homeowner to maintain their lawn without hindrance or causing a tripping hazard.
Once the grass grows over again properly then it will look like there is no discharge line in the yard! Other than the bubbler pot which should not get in the way of any backyard activities!
Buried Discharge
The Iceguard is coming out through the foundation of the home and extends under the ground.
Discharge Line
This is the pipe that goes under the ground.
Bubbler Pot
This is the end of the discharge line, where the water will be released out from the pipe under the ground. The gravel is to hold everything in place and so water can drain and not cause pooling.
