Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Sump Pump Install Completed in Linden, AB
This homeowner in Linden, Alberta encountered issues with water leaking in through the foundation walls around the perimeter of their basement during heavy rainfall as well as the cold joint where the wall and floor meet. Wanting to eliminate the water issues in the basement and get a permanent solution for their home, they contacted the experts at Doug Lacey's Basement Systems.
A System Design Specialist was able to visit the home to assess the situation and provide the homeowners with a FREE, no-obligation quote to address the water leakage concerns. Our Production Team then went to the home to install a product that redirects water leaking through the basement walls into it; it is called CactusBoard which is a basement footing foundation wall drain system. Forming a space between the edge of the basement floor and the basement wall, and across the footing, allowing water from the perimeter and the walls to drain into the stone aggregate under the floor slab and then into SuperSump® sump pump system. A full-featured system, SuperSump® includes the best components available including a top-rated 1/3HP Zoeller® pump, which is designed for reliability & high-volume pumping. From there the system will discharge any water entering the sump pump basin to the exterior of the home passing through our patented IceGuard® system, an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of your home and ejects water away from the foundation in the event that the sump pump discharge lines freeze or become clogged. And finally, the discharge line has been buried below-grade ending off with a Bubbler Pot away from the home installed flush with the grass on the lawn.
We recommended to the homeowner (and all other homeowners) that the sump pump system should be serviced annually to keep the system in great running condition. We let them know that we do have a full-time service department that is available for any emergencies or annually maintenances.
