Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Sump pump and Radon Mitigation Installed in SE Calgary, AB
A couple who resides in Calgary, AB found cracks in their basement floor and it raised some concern. They contacted us to get some answers on how to repair them.
One of our System Design Specialist's visited the home to see what solution we could offer. When he got there and performed a full interior and exterior inspection he recommended to have a Sump pump installed to help with ground water underneath the cracking, concrete slab. While he was there he also mentioned the concern about Radon Gas and asked if they wanted to have their home mitigated due to Radon being the second leading cause of lung cancer. The homeowners agreed and decided to go ahead with both of the solutions that were quoted.
A full-featured system, SuperSump® was installed which includes the best components available including a top-rated 1/3HP Zoeller® pump which is designed for reliability & high-volume pumping. In case of a power outage, our UltraSump® battery backup sump pump, set at the highest level, will pump 11,500 gallons or more on a fully charged battery. To mitigate the Radon levels in the home, our Radon Mitigation Specialist was able to install a sub-slab Radon Gas Mitigation System which draws the gas from beneath the basement floor slab and vents it outside of the home.
